  • 12 sifted egg yolks
  • 300g of refined sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of fresh or dry grated coconut mixed with 2/3 cup of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

Preparation Method

In a bowl, combine the yolks, sugar, butter or margarine, and coconut and stir until smooth.

Generously grease a form with a cone in the center (24 cm in diameter) with the butter (do not use margarine) and sprinkle with sugar.

Pour the batter into the form and let it rest for about 1 hour.

Bake in a preheated oven at medium heat in a water bath for about 15 minutes.

Reduce the heat and bake until a toothpick inserted into the sweet comes out clean.

Unmold after it has cooled.
